Currently only Cloudflare-managed DNS supports automatic configuration. The platform detects this by looking for a Cloudflare _domainconnect TXT record on your domain. If your domain is registered elsewhere but the DNS is managed through Cloudflare, it will still be detected and the option will appear.
Add your domain in Connect → Deploy and click Save.
If Cloudflare is detected, the message 'Your DNS provider supports automatic configuration.' appears above the DNS table, along with a Connect Automatically button.
Click Connect Automatically. Your browser is redirected to Cloudflare's authorisation page.
Review and approve the DNS changes on the Cloudflare page.
Cloudflare redirects you back to Connect → Deploy with a toast: 'DNS records submitted! Verification may take a few minutes.'
Click Refresh to check verification status. The badge updates to Verified once DNS has propagated.
Your domain's DNS is not managed by Cloudflare. Add the records manually instead — the DNS Configuration table shows exactly what to enter. See the DNS configuration article for step-by-step instructions.
