Creating an A/B test

A/B tests let you pit two or more versions of a form against each other, split traffic between them, and declare a winner once the data is clear.

The A/B Tests page

Click A/B Tests in the sidebar to see every test across all your forms. The table shows Test Name, Form, Status, Variants count, Started date, and Winner. Use the status tabs — All, Draft, Running, Completed — to filter the list.

Create a test

  1. From the A/B Tests page, click Create Test (or open a form and click Create Test from its A/B Tests section).

  2. Give the test a descriptive name. The dialog shows: 'The current form will be the control variant.'

  3. Click Create Test. The test is created in Draft status and the original form is set as the Control variant at 50% traffic.

  4. Add one or more variants to take the remaining traffic, then click Start Test when ready.

How variants are created

Each variant is a full copy of the Control — steps, theme, layout, integrations, tracking pixels, and Leadbyte field mappings are all cloned. You then edit the variant independently to change whatever you want to test.
